Experienced Gary leads the Bluebirds' Academy

Gary Richards has been at the Bridge Meadow Stadium for a relatively short time but has already earned admiration across the spectrum as he helps coach the first team but is also using his vast experience to good effect as the Head of Coaching at the club's thriving academy.

As a result he is an immensely busy man because he works with the first team twice a wee where training is held in Carmarthen and is also in the dug-out for all the matches in the JD Cymru Premier League, fulfilling his role as Assistant Manager, and works long hours back at Bridge Meadow.

Known to all as 'Waggy', a nickname he acquired as a nipper, he has ten junior teams in his care and is quick to praise the Academy coaches who give so much of their time and effort, but more of that later...
